KIX is the primary international gateway to the Kansai region, located approximately 100 km from Kyoto.
Route: Kansai Airport Station ➔ Kyoto Station (Direct, no transfers required).
Travel Time: Approximately 75 minutes.
Estimated Fare: Approx. 3,400 JPY (One-way, reserved seat).
How to Board: Follow the "Trains" signs at KIX to the JR ticket office/gates located on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1.
Route: KIX Terminal 1/2 Bus Stops ➔ Kyoto Station Hachijo-guchi Exit.
Travel Time: Approximately 85–100 minutes (depending on highway traffic).
Estimated Fare: Approx. 2,600 JPY (One-way).
How to Board: Purchase tickets at the automated vending machines located right outside the 1st-floor arrivals hall, then head to the designated Kyoto-bound bus stop.
ITM is primarily used for domestic flights within Japan, located closer to Kyoto than KIX.
Route: ITM Domestic Terminal Bus Stop ➔ Kyoto Station South Exit (Hachijo-guchi).
Travel Time: Approximately 50–50 minutes.
Estimated Fare: Approx. 1,340 JPY (One-way).
How to Board: Ticket counters and vending machines are conveniently located directly outside the central exit of the arrivals terminal.
Route: Direct pickup from Itami Airport taxi stands to your specific hotel in Kyoto.
Travel Time: Approximately 60 minutes.
Estimated Fare: Approx. 12,000 – 15,000 JPY (depending on traffic and tolls). Recommended if traveling in a group with heavy luggage.
